YOGA DAY @ CREEK
YOGA , a holistic approach to health & well-being was advocated to students of the CREEK under the guidance of Mr.Anand , the P.E.T of the school.
The practice session started with the invoking God's blessings. The students were made aware of the merits of practicing YOGA. both physically and mentally.
The students were made to practice asanas like Vajrasana which helps in digestion , Ushstrasana to prevent thyroid problems , Naavasana - A boat , to reduce cholestrol , Chakrasana & Dhanurasana to strengthen the backbone & Sarvangasana for blood circulation in the body.
The students were overjoyed & participated in this session in a relaxed environment. They showed great enthusiasm & interest to practice in the asanas. They were advised to practice everyday. The importance of YOGA in an day to day life was discussed. The children really had a wonderful time performing different asanas in the school lawn.
