On 2nd April, we Grade - X students had a trip to ICRISAT, an International Organization which conducts agriculture research for rural development. It was a wonderful opportunity provided by ICRISAT which enabled us to learn about crops that can be grown in a tropical country like India.We were shown a documentary about ICRISAT, success story about watershed management, ICRISAT research work on Crops, Farm visit, Rainwater Harvesting, Dry land Agriculture, Vermi compost, Agro Meteorology, Solarisation of soil, Types of soil, ICRISAT irrigation system, Research on crops under controlled temperature.
