GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATIONS @ MERCURY CAMPUS


The Creek Planet school, Mercury Campus celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on 31st August.   It is believed that Lord Ganesha removes all obstacles form path of his devotees.  The celebrations started with an informative talk about importance of the festival. This was followed by a graceful dance recital by students depicting significance of the festival.

National Sports Day @ Mercury Campus


Sports are considered very important for the physical and mental development of humans. The person who plays any sport remains always healthy.

The Creek Planet School, Mercury Campus celebrated National Sports day to mark the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand Singh, the hockey player who won gold medals in Olympics for India in the years 1928, 1932 and 1936.

To make the students aware of the contribution of Dhyan Chand Singh towards the hockey, Mr. Anand, the PT mentor spoke  about Dhyan chand and stressed upon the importance of sports in one’s life. Later on students spoke about Mary Kom and PV Sindhu.   It was an informative and interesting event.

Telugu Language Day @ Mercury Campus




The Creek Planet School, Mercury Campus celebrated Telugu language day on 29th August 2019. This day is celebrated to mark the birthday of Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy who was a Telugu writer and one of the earliest modern Telugu linguists. He championed the cause of using a language comprehensible to the common man. To mark the occasion the students rendered slokas  lucidly and  also sang melodious songs  to  delight the assembly .

Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations @ Mercury Campus


KRISHNAM VANDE JAGADGURUM



Lord Sri Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations reverberated The Creek Planet School, Mercury Campus with great fervour. The whole campus was lively with devotional songs, dances and dance-drama enactments of the life of Lord Sri Krishna. Students dressed as Lord Sri Krishna and gopikas made the festive mood more vibrant. Later Dahi Handi, the event which symbolizes the stealing activity of Lord Sri Krishna filled the air with positive energy. Along with the cheers an earthen pot was hung high in the air and the Grade 10 students gathered together to make a human pyramid and broke it to release its sweet contents.

INDEPENDENCE DAY @ MERCURY CAMPUS


73rd   INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

Gaiety and patriotic fervour marked the 73rd Independence Day celebrations at The Creek Planet school, Mercury campus, to commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the esteemed Chief guest Mr. Rahavendra Chary, Deputy Finance  Manager, FEI. unfurled the the National Flag along Master Shaurya of Grade VI and all in unison sang the National Anthem. The programme commenced with patriotic songs expressing the joy of freedom and awakening everyone’s patriotism towards the motherland. Through their mesmerising performances students showcased the deep – rooted, rich cultural heritage of our country.
Our beloved  principal Dr. Annamary  addressed the students and asked them to follow the righteous path and feel proud to be Indians.

Bonalu Celebrations @ Mercury Campus

Celebrating the Vibrant Festival – Bonalu   (26-7-2019)

The vibrant and unique folk festival ‘Bonalu’, reflecting the Telangana culture was celebrated in Creek planet school Mercury Campus. The celebrations were started   with a brief  but informative introduction of importance of the Festival.  This was followed by  two lively dances  performed by the girls  swaying rhythmically to the folk songs  of bonalu festival. The Potha Raju was the special attraction of these dances..  The programme was concluded with rendition of a melodious folk song. The entire school  wore a festive air.

5th International Yoga Day


5th International Yoga Day


 5th International Yoga Day was celebrated at school on 21st June 2019 with great enthusiasm and fervour. This event was conducted at school by Asara yoga institute.  The entire school came together to do Yoga. The Asara institute faculty members explained to the students the importance of Yoga and led the students through some simple yet  stress relieving asanas. Many students realised the importance of this ancient art  and took resolution to practise it regularly. It was a great feast  for eyes to watch the students to do yoga in tandem.
